Bridges, Not Walls

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” – Matthew 5:9

In the school hall, Dita saw two of her classmates fighting over a seat. They were shouting and pushing each other, while some kids just stood and watched. But Dita stepped forward and said, “Come on, let’s sort this out nicely. We’re all friends, right?”

Truth Juniors, being a peacemaker doesn’t mean you always avoid conflict. It means choosing not to make the problem bigger. It means being a bridge that connects hearts, not a wall that separates.

Another example: when you’re playing games with friends and someone gets upset because they lose—will you tease them back? Or will you say, “It’s okay, it’s just a game”? Simple words like that can calm things down again.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He never answered insults or violence with anger. Instead, He brought peace—even on the cross.

Being a peacemaker takes courage. Sometimes it means giving in, saying sorry first, or controlling your emotions even when you feel upset. But Jesus sees your heart, and He is pleased with children who bring peace wherever they go.

Think about it: today, at home or at school, who can you bring peace to? Let’s be peacemakers, because the world needs more bridges, not walls.
