Today’s Devotional Title:
Brave to Admit Mistakes

Luke 19:8
But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

One afternoon, Ardi found a marble that belonged to his friend. For a moment, he wanted to keep it to himself, but his heart felt uneasy. The next day, Ardi returned the marble and said honestly, “I would be wrong to keep it.” His friend smiled with relief.

In Sunday School, the teacher told a story about Zacchaeus. He was a rich man, but he often took more money than he should from others. One day, Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus so badly. Because he was short, he climbed a sycamore tree. When Jesus passed by, He looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” Everyone was surprised, because Zacchaeus was known as a dishonest man.

But when Zacchaeus met Jesus, his heart changed. He said, “Lord, I will give half of my wealth to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone, I will pay them back four times more.”

Truth Kids friends, Zacchaeus was brave to repent and make things right. He didn’t just feel sorry — he took action to fix his mistakes. You can be like Zacchaeus too!
When you do something wrong, don’t be afraid to admit it and correct it. Jesus is happy to forgive and save a heart that’s willing to change.
