Brave Because of God
Esther 4:14
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Hi Truth Kids friends! Have you ever suddenly been asked to do something that made you nervous—like leading a prayer in class or becoming a group leader? You probably felt like saying, “Not me, I’m too shy!”
In the Bible, there’s the story of Esther, a young woman who became queen of Persia. When her people were in danger, her uncle Mordecai said, “Who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” God placed Esther in the palace so she could help her people. Even though she was afraid at first, Esther finally dared to go before the king to save the Israelites.
We also often feel hesitant when asked to help a friend, stand up for someone who is being teased, or join a challenging competition. Thoughts like “I can’t do it” or “Let someone else do it” may come up. But God can use us for good—even through small things.
From Esther we learn to be brave in doing what is right and to trust that God has a plan. So, when you are asked to do something good, don’t say no. Remember, maybe God placed you in that situation so you could be a blessing.
Come on, Truth Kids friends, let’s pray for courage and do what God wants—even when it feels scary!
