Today’s Devotion Is Titled:
Bold in Truth Without Being Harsh
“For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
— John 1:17
Jesus is the strongest example of how to face differences and debates. He never compromised the truth, yet He never lost love. Sadly, as young people we often fall into two unhealthy extremes: some become too soft just to appear kind, while others become too harsh in order to feel the most right.
Jesus shows us that truth and love are not enemies—they are meant to walk together. He could confront sin without degrading people. He could be firm without being rude. This is especially important in the era of social media and public discussions that can easily become toxic. Standing up for faith was never meant to hurt, belittle, or humiliate others.
Truth delivered with love has the power to transform, not destroy. Spiritual maturity is not seen in how loudly we speak, but in how wisely we act. Be young people who are bold in truth yet humble in heart; firm in faith yet gentle in approach. The world is already loud enough—God calls us to be peacemakers.
What to Do?
1. Continually examine the condition of your heart—don’t be good on the outside but unhealthy on the inside.
2. Always place love toward everyone, because it is the key to becoming children of God.
3. Strengthen your prayer life in every situation, not only in moments of crisis.
