Today’s reflection is titled:
Blessed to Be a Blessing
1 Corinthians 4:2
“Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.”
Hi, Rehobot Youth! When we hear the word “blessing,” we might immediately think of money, new possessions, opportunities, or something enjoyable. However, God’s blessings are far broader than that. Time, abilities, health, learning opportunities, relationships, and even the simple things we possess are all things God has entrusted to us. The question isn’t just, “How much do I have?” but rather, “How do I manage what God has entrusted to me?”
Paul reminds us that a servant must be trustworthy. This principle helps us understand that what we possess is not merely for our own enjoyment but must be managed responsibly. Living a life led by the Holy Spirit means making room for Him to guide how we use every blessing. We learn to distinguish between needs and wants, avoid wastefulness, be grateful for what we have, and avoid making blessings the center of our lives.
Rehobot Youth, the Holy Spirit also shapes our hearts so we don’t think only of ourselves. When we receive an allowance, have free time, gain a certain skill, or encounter a good opportunity, we can ask, “Lord, how can I use this according to Your will?” The answer might be learning to save, sharing with someone in need, using our time to help others, or developing our talents so they can become a blessing. Blessings managed wisely can become tools to bring God’s goodness to those around us.
Therefore, Rehobot Youth, do not simply ask God to add more blessings; instead, ask the Holy Spirit to shape you into a trustworthy person capable of managing them. Be grateful when receiving, wise when using, and generous when you have the opportunity to share. A life led by the Holy Spirit is reflected not only in how we receive God’s blessings but also in how we manage them to please Him.
What To Do?
1. Manage your money, time, talents, opportunities, and relationships responsibly.
2. Do not follow fleeting desires; ask the Holy Spirit to help you choose what is right and pleasing to God.
3. Use what you have to help and bless others.
