Today’s Devotional Title:
Better Few, But Faithful

“Associate with wise people and you will become wise, but befriend fools and you will only suffer.”
Proverbs 13:20

Have you ever felt FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) because your circle of friends is small? In a world that is busy hustling and chasing clout, having many friends seems worthwhile, but God has a different pattern: Better few, but faithful.

Look at the life of Jesus. He did have 12 disciples, but His inner circle consisted of only three people: Peter, James, and John. Even in the most difficult moments, such as in the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus relied on them to watch and pray with Him. This teaches us that the power of ministry and the journey of faith is not determined by the number of people around us, but by the depth of commitment, loyalty, and faith of those who walk with us. A small circle centered on Christ will have a far greater impact than a crowd that is not focused on Him.

What To Do:
1. Audit Your Circle Do my friends build my faith or stunt my spiritual growth? Ask God to show you who to close yourself off from and who you need to set boundaries with.
2. Invest in Deep Connections Don’t be afraid of “me-time” or small groups that make you more rooted in God. Like Mary who sat near Jesus (Luke 10:39), quality time with God and His people is a priority.
3. Be the Faithful Friend Be a loyal friend who is ride or die in prayer, accountability, and encouragement. Your small circle can be a breeding ground for improvement

Final Thought:
God doesn’t measure your influence by how viral you are, but by how faithful you are where He has placed you. Small circle, big faith—that’s the legacy.

Less but lit, because what is small but faithful is better than what is big but fake
