Today’s devotional is titled:
Believe in Jesus, the Savior
John 11:27
“‘Yes, Lord,’ she replied, ‘I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.’”
Truth Kids friends, have you ever felt afraid in the dark or when you had to stand in front of a big crowd? Your heart beats fast, and you wish you had someone you could depend on, right?
The verse above is Martha’s confession of faith, a close friend of Jesus. At that time, her brother Lazarus had just died. Jesus said that He is the resurrection and the life. And Martha confidently declared that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, who could help her.
Truth Kids friends, sometimes we also feel doubtful or afraid. Maybe when we are sick, fail a test, or a friend leaves us. We may think, “Can God really help?” or “Is Jesus truly able?” Those thoughts aren’t true—because Jesus is always powerful and faithful.
Let’s learn from Martha to put our full trust in Jesus. Whenever we feel afraid or sad, remember that Jesus is the Savior who gives hope and life. So come on, Truth Kids friends, let’s say every day: “I believe—Jesus always helps and takes care of me!”
