Today’s devotional is titled:
Believe God Is Able
Mark 5:41–43
“He took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum!’ (which means ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up!’). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.”
That afternoon, Rani was trying to ride her bike without training wheels. After just a short ride, she fell and scraped her knee. Rani wanted to quit, but her father patted her shoulder and said, “Come on, try again, don’t be afraid. I’m here.” Carefully, Rani got back on the bike. This time, even though she was trembling, she pedaled all the way to the end of the street. Rani smiled proudly because she dared to trust her father’s words.
Truth Kids friends, there was also a little girl in the Bible—the daughter of Jairus. While everyone was sad because she had died, Jesus came and said, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” Then Jesus took her by the hand, and she came back to life! How amazing is the power of Jesus—even death cannot defeat Him.
If Jesus was able to raise Jairus’s daughter, He is surely able to help you too. So, when you feel afraid or weak, remember this: with Jesus, you will always have new strength.
