Today’s devotional is titled:
Believe Even Before Seeing
Genesis 24:58
“So they called Rebekah and asked her, ‘Will you go with this man?’ And she said, ‘I will go.’”
Being children of God means we receive Him and fully trust in Him, even when we do not know what the future will bring. Just like Rebekah, who immediately said “yes” when she was asked to follow Abraham’s servant. At that time, Rebekah did not know what Abraham was like, nor what her life would be like if she went with them, but she confidently and faithfully accepted the invitation. In the end, Rebekah became the wife of Abraham’s son, Isaac.
Because of Rebekah’s full trust in God and in Abraham, she became part of the fulfillment of God’s promise to Abraham. From their descendants came a great nation, blessed by God.
Our lives are the same, Truth Kids friends. Sometimes what lies ahead of us makes us feel doubtful and worried. But we must not let that overcome our trust in God, because we know that God is greater than everything. God is able and powerful to make the impossible become possible.
So, we need to learn to have faith and make decisions like Rebekah when she answered her calling. Don’t be afraid to live in obedience to God, Truth Kids friends.
