Be a Friend Who Encourages

Acts 11:24
“He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.”

Hello, Truth Junior Friends! Have you ever felt sad because you were scolded by your teacher, failed a test, or argued with a friend? That doesn’t feel good, right? But maybe you’ve also had a friend who came and said, “It’s okay, you can do it!” That kind of friend makes your heart feel calm and gives you new strength.

In the Bible, there was a man named Barnabas. His name means son of encouragement. That means Barnabas loved to comfort and strengthen others. When Paul had just become a follower of Jesus and many people still didn’t trust him, Barnabas came to help. He stood by Paul and made sure the believers accepted him. Barnabas also loved to encourage others to keep believing and staying faithful to God.

Truth Junior Friends, we can be like Barnabas too! When a friend is sad, we can say kind and encouraging words. When a friend falls or makes a mistake, we can help them get back up. Don’t tease or avoid friends who are struggling—instead, show them love.

With the love of Jesus in our hearts, we can bring joy and strength to others. So, let’s be friends who encourage—friends who are loving, patient, and help others grow closer to God!
