Today’s reflection is titled:
If only my family were like the Cemara family, maybe I’d be happy

“Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will take me in.” Psalm 27:10

Sometimes we’re born into families that don’t meet our expectations. Some come from broken homes, some grow up without one parent, or even feel unsupported by their own family. It hurts, it feels lonely, and it even makes us envious of others whose families seem happy. But through this verse, God wants to remind us that His love is far greater than the pain caused by an imperfect family. He welcomes us just as we are, despite all our tears, disappointments, and longings.
And don’t be mistaken, it is precisely through these shortcomings that God can use our lives to be a blessing. The wounds we experience can become a source of empathy to understand others. The emptiness in our hearts can become a space that God fills with His love. Our families may not be perfect, but God can use us to create beautiful stories full of hope.
So, never feel that your life is over because of your family background. You are still valuable, still chosen, and still can be used by God to be a light for others.

What to Do:
1. Learn to come to God first.
If your heart is empty because of family problems, don’t keep it to yourself. Take a moment to pray: “God, I need You. Hold me today.”
2. Turn your pain into a blessing
Write down or share your experiences ( on social media) about how God has strengthened you. Your story can help others who are going through similar things.
