Today’s devotional is titled:
Alone But Strong
Matthew 26:40
Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?”
Rehobot Youth, have you ever felt alone, even though you were surrounded by others? You needed company, but the people around you didn’t really understand or weren’t even there.
Jesus was also in that situation. In the Garden of Gethsemane, when He was struggling, the disciples who should have been there for Him fell asleep. Humanly speaking, that would have been painful. But in that moment, Jesus chose to draw closer to the Father through prayer.
Sometimes we think of solitude as weakness. But it can be a space that God uses to make us stronger. When no one else is around, we learn one important lesson: complete dependence on God.
Being alone doesn’t mean you’re abandoned. It can be God’s invitation to draw closer, more honest, and deeper into your relationship with Him. There, new strength is formed—not from others, but from God Himself.
So if you feel alone today, don’t run away or fill it with distractions. Try coming to God. Because in those lonely moments, He’s closest.
What To Do?
• Use your alone time for prayer, not just distractions.
• Remember: God is still there even when no one else is.
• Make prayer your source of strength.
