Today’s Devotional is titled:
Alone, But Not Wrong
“Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong…” – Exodus 23:2a
Have you ever felt like the only one refusing to go along with an unhealthy trend? Maybe you didn’t cheat during an exam, didn’t join in gossiping, or chose not to compromise at work or in ministry. It can feel heavy — because being different often feels like being wrong.
But truth doesn’t need a crowd to be valid. God doesn’t look for those who follow the flow, but those who dare to stand when others sit. Remember the story of Daniel’s three friends? When everyone bowed to the king’s statue, they kept standing. And it was in the hottest place — the furnace — that God showed up with them.
Being different because of your faith might make you feel alone, but you’re never truly alone. God stands with those who choose truth, even when the path is quiet.
What to Do:
Reflect: Is there an area of your life where you’re standing alone because of your faith? Bring it to God in prayer today, and ask for the courage to remain faithful.
