A Wise Heart
1 Kings 3:9
“So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong…”
Truth Kids friends, have you ever felt confused about choosing friends to play with?
Sometimes there are kind friends, but there are also those who like to take your toys or cause trouble. In times like that, we need a wise heart to choose what is right.
One day, God asked King Solomon what he wanted most. But Solomon didn’t ask for toys, food, or riches — he asked for a wise heart, one that could tell the difference between right and wrong. God was very pleased with Solomon’s request and gave him great wisdom.
Sometimes we also see friends lying, arguing, or inviting us to do something wrong. When you’re not sure what to do, pray like Solomon. Ask God to give you a wise heart so you can make the right choices and please Him.
Come on, Truth Kids friends! Let’s be children who love to ask and listen to God, just like Solomon. Choose what’s right, even when it’s not easy — and God will be happy and help you become a wise child!
