Today’s Devotional Title:
A Tongue That Blesses

Acts 2:14, 36
Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and addressed the crowd: “…God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

Truth Kids friends, how do you feel when someone praises or encourages you? Happy, right?
But how about when someone mocks or insults you? That doesn’t feel good at all. That’s why we must be careful with our words. Let’s not use our tongues to hurt others, but to bless them — by speaking words that are kind, loving, and uplifting.

Did you know? The tongue can be the best thing — when used to speak truth and bless others. But it can also be the worst thing if used to insult, lie, or hurt someone. In the Bible, Peter once hurt Jesus by denying Him three times. But after repenting, Peter was used by God to preach His word with great power!

Truth Kids friends, how about your tongue? Do you use it for good or for harm?
If you often tease others, talk back to your parents, or say mean things, that means your tongue is being used in the wrong way. But here’s the good news: you can change! God can help you use your tongue to show His love.

Let’s be heroes of faith who use our tongues for good! Speak words that build others up, say sorry when you’re wrong, and pray for your friends. Remember — your words have power, so use them to glorify God and encourage others!
