A Life That Leaves an Impact

Genesis 5:24
“Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.”

Hi, Rehobot Youth! When we talk about a life that makes an impact, we might immediately picture someone with many achievements, who is well-known, or who has accomplished something extraordinary. The world often measures impact by the magnitude of visible achievements. However, Enoch’s life reveals a different standard. The most important thing recorded about his life wasn’t his accomplishments, but that Enoch walked with God.

The Bible doesn’t say much about Enoch’s life. Yet, a single sentence about him conveys a very powerful message. Amid the life of his generation, Enoch chose to walk with the Lord. In fact, Hebrews 11:5 states that before he was taken up, Enoch received a testimony that he was pleasing to God. His life teaches us that before we seek influence in the eyes of people, the most important thing is to have a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

Rehobot Youth, walking with God is not just about praying or reading the Bible at certain times. Walking with God means involving Him in every aspect of life. That relationship will shape the way we think, speak, make decisions, fulfill our responsibilities, and treat others. The closer we are to God, the more our lives are shaped to reflect His character. That is where true influence begins to radiate.

Therefore, Rehobot Youth, don’t just pursue a life that looks impressive in the eyes of people. Pursue a life that pleases God. Build a relationship with Him every day and allow Him to shape your character. Perhaps not everything you do will be noticed or praised by many people, but a life lived in fellowship with God is never in vain. True impact doesn’t stem from how many people know us, but from how deeply we know and walk with God.

What To Do?
1. Take time to pray and read the Word every day.
2. Prioritize pleasing God rather than pursuing recognition.
3. Demonstrate the character of Christ through honesty, love, and faithfulness.
