Today’s devotional is titled:
A Life from the Father
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.”
📖 James 1:17
Guys, without realizing it, we often fall into the trap of comparison. We see other people’s achievements, and their lives seem more advanced, more put-together, more successful. And slowly, what God has given us begins to feel like it isn’t enough.
Comparison makes us forget one important thing: God never makes a mistake in giving. When we’re busy looking at what others have, we stop appreciating what God is doing in our own lives.
It’s not because God’s blessings are small, but because our focus shifts—from gratitude to complaining, from trust to questioning.
Everyone has a different journey. What God has entrusted to someone else is not the standard by which we measure our lives. When we compare, gratitude dies. But when we trust, gratitude comes alive again.
God didn’t call us to have the same life as someone else. He called us to be faithful with the life He has entrusted to us.
What To Do:
1. Stop scrolling for a moment if you start feeling jealous or insecure.
2. Write down three things God has already done in your life so far.
3. Remember: what God gives to someone else does not reduce what He has prepared for you.
