Today’s reflection is titled:
A Healthy Community

Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:33

Hi, Rehobot Youth! Have you ever heard the saying, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”? Although it doesn’t come directly from the Bible, this saying reminds us that our social circle has a significant influence on our lives.

Without realizing it, we often adopt the habits of those around us. Our way of speaking, thinking, making decisions, and even the values we hold can be influenced by the community we are part of. That is why God’s Word reminds us to be wise in choosing our company.

This doesn’t mean we should only be friends with perfect people or avoid those who are different from us. As followers of Christ, we are called to love everyone. However, we also need to pay attention to who exerts the most influence on our lives.

A healthy community is one that encourages us to grow rather than tearing us down. They remind us when we start to stray, strengthen us when we are weak, and help us keep walking with God. Conversely, if a social circle constantly pulls us away from God, we need to evaluate it honestly.

Rehobot Youth, the right friendships and communities can be one of the ways God shapes our lives. Therefore, choose an environment that helps you know God better, grow in faith, and become a better person every day.

What to Do?
• Evaluate who currently has the greatest influence on your life.
• Be grateful for friends who help you grow in faith.
• Get involved in a healthy community that brings positive influence.
