A Friendly Heart

2 Kings 4:10
“Let’s make a small room on the roof with a bed and a table, a chair and a lamp for him. Then he can stay there whenever he comes to us.”

Hello, Truth Junior friends!
Have you ever had a friend come to your house, and you welcomed them with a smile, invited them to sit, and even gave them a drink or snack? It feels good when we can make others feel at home, right?

In the Bible, there was a woman from Shunem. She noticed that the prophet Elisha often passed through her town. With a friendly heart, she and her husband prepared a special room for Elisha so he could rest. She didn’t count the cost but served with love. Because of her hospitality, God blessed her life.

Truth Junior friends, we can also be friendly like this woman from Shunem. Sometimes kids act the opposite—avoiding guests, pretending not to notice, or showing an unfriendly face. Some even refuse to share drinks or snacks with friends. That’s not what God wants.

Believe this: kindness and hospitality open the door to blessings. When we are friendly, helpful, and willing to share, others feel happy, and God is pleased too.

So let’s learn to serve with loving hearts—starting at home, at school, and with our friends.
