Today’s Devotional Title:
A Child of Encouragement
Acts 11:24
“He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.”
Truth Kids friends, on this beautiful Christmas Eve, let’s become children who bring comfort and joy to others. Being a child of encouragement means making the people around us — like our parents, siblings, and friends — feel happy and blessed. Christmas isn’t just about decorations or beautiful songs, but about having a heart full of love, just like Jesus.
The Bible character we’re learning about today is Barnabas, whose name means “son of encouragement.” He helped Paul be accepted by other Christians, even though Paul had once been known as someone who persecuted believers. But Barnabas believed that God could change Paul’s heart. He encouraged, comforted, and supported him — and Paul became one of the greatest heroes of faith.
Truth Kids friends, you can be like Barnabas too!
You can help your parents at home, speak politely at church, and stay patient when you have to wait. Small acts like these can bring joy to others and become a precious Christmas gift to God.
So, let’s make this Christmas Eve full of joy — not just for ourselves, but for our families and everyone around us.
Let’s be children who bring peace, encouragement, and comfort — just like Barnabas, the child of encouragement!
