Faith Through the Storm

Hebrews 10:36
“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

Hi, Rehobot Youth! Believing in God feels easier when life goes according to plan—when prayers are answered, plans succeed, and everything feels fine. But what happens when circumstances change? When we face failure, disappointment, family issues, peer pressure, or prayers that remain unanswered, our faith is put to the test. It is in moments like these that we learn obedience to God isn’t just for times of comfort.

God’s Word reminds us that we need endurance to keep doing His will. This means faith isn’t just about believing when we see God’s help; it’s about remaining faithful even when we don’t yet see a way out. Endurance enables us to keep praying even before the answer arrives, to keep doing what is right even when it feels difficult, and to keep believing that God is good even when circumstances haven’t changed.

Rehobot Youth, facing hardship with faith doesn’t mean we have to pretend to be strong or suppress feelings of sadness and disappointment. We are free to come to God with all the struggles we are facing. Yet, amidst it all, we choose not to walk away from Him. It is precisely through difficult times that God shapes our endurance, obedience, and faithfulness. Faith that endures hardship grows into a more mature faith.

So, Rehobot Youth, don’t be faithful to God only when life feels comfortable. Learn to keep believing when things don’t go as expected. Keep praying, holding fast to His Word, and doing His will, even when the journey feels heavy. True obedience isn’t just saying “yes” to God when the path is easy; it is continuing to walk with Him even when we don’t yet understand where He is leading us.

What To Do?
1. Honestly share your fears and struggles through prayer.
2. Make God’s Word the foundation for your obedience and every decision.
3. Remain confident in God’s faithfulness, even when His answer is not yet visible.
