A Life That Knows God
Philippians 3:10
“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,”
Hi, Rehobot Youth! In our daily lives, we may know many things about God. We can listen to sermons, read the Bible, participate in spiritual activities, or understand various teachings about faith. However, knowing about God isn’t always the same as knowing Him personally.
Paul was someone who deeply understood the law and religious teachings. Yet, after encountering Christ, he realized that what was most valuable wasn’t his achievements or knowledge, but a close relationship with God. For Paul, knowing Christ became the primary purpose of his life.
Knowing God personally changes the way we view life. We no longer do good deeds merely because of rules or to be seen as good by others. We learn to live righteously because we know God’s heart and desire to please Him. A relationship with God shapes our character from within, so that love, integrity, and humility become evident in our lives.
So, Rehobot Youth, don’t just stop at knowing about God. Build a personal relationship with Him through prayer, God’s Word, and daily obedience. As we come to know God more deeply, our lives will increasingly reflect His character and lead us to walk on a path that is higher than human standards.
What To Do?
1. Make time to pray and read the Word every day.
2. Learn to know God’s heart and will.
3. Evaluate whether your life is drawing closer to God.
