Today’s reflection is titled:
A Gentle Heart

Micah 6:8
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Hi, Rehobot Youth! Many people think that being spiritual means being diligent in prayer, active in ministry, or frequently attending church events. While those things are certainly important, through the Prophet Micah, God reminds us that a genuine spiritual life is also reflected in how we treat others. A close relationship with God produces a heart that loves justice, values faithfulness, and remains humble in daily life.

Imagine a friend at school or college who is frequently mocked, shunned, or treated unfairly. It might be easier to stay silent so you don’t become the next target. However, a heart shaped by God compels us to show love, respect others, and have the courage to do what is right. Spirituality isn’t just visible when we lift our hands in worship, but also when we choose to love and treat others rightly.

Rehobot Youth, intellectual intelligence (IQ) helps us understand many things, and emotional intelligence (EQ) helps us relate to others. However, spiritual intelligence (SQ)—or our closeness to God—shapes our character from within. The closer we live to God, the more the Holy Spirit softens our hearts to act justly, love sincerely, and live humbly. This is God’s wisdom, which transforms not only how we think but also how we live.

Therefore, Rehobot Youth, do not measure your spiritual life solely by visible activities. Let your relationship with God shape every word, attitude, and action. When your heart is increasingly softened by God, your life will become a real testimony. The world may see what you do, but God first looks at the heart that moves everything.

What To Do?
1. Check your attitude towards other people.
2. Ask God to shape your heart.
3. Make your faith a reality through action.
