The Fullness of Joy
Romans 15:13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Hi, Rehobot Youth! Have you ever felt incredibly happy after getting something you’ve wanted for a long time? Maybe after buying something new, winning a game, getting a good grade, or spending time with friends. All of those things can indeed bring happiness. However, after a while, that joy slowly fades, and we start looking for something else that can make us happy again. It turns out that the joy that comes from worldly things never truly satisfies the human heart.
Through Romans 15:13, Paul reminds us that God is the source of hope who is able to fill every believer with joy and peace. The joy that God gives does not depend on circumstances or achievements, but grows as we trust in Him. The more we place our faith in God, the more the Holy Spirit fills our hearts with unshakable hope.
Rehobot Youth, life doesn’t always go the way we want it to. There are times when we face pressure at school, conflicts with friends, disappointments, or struggles within our families. However, when we continue to hope in the Lord, the Holy Spirit works within our hearts, granting peace and joy that transcend our circumstances. This is the joy that the world cannot give, because its source is God Himself.
Therefore, Rehobot Youth, don’t just chase after temporary pleasures. Come to God and entrust your life to Him. Let the Holy Spirit fill your heart with joy, peace, and hope. When God becomes the center of your life, you will experience a fullness of joy that endures, even when circumstances don’t always go as you hope.
What To Do?
1. Entrust all your struggles to God in prayer.
2. Make room for the Holy Spirit to work in your life.
3. Make God the source of your joy, not your circumstances or achievements.
