Strength in Joy
Psalm 37:4
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Hi, Rehobot Youth! Have you ever felt that happiness only comes when everything goes according to plan? When you get good grades, have good relationships with friends, or achieve your dreams, you feel happy. However, when those hopes aren’t fulfilled, that joy slowly fades away.
Through Psalm 37:4, David invites us to find joy in the Lord—not merely because of the blessings we receive. Joy that comes from the Lord does not depend on circumstances but springs from a close relationship with Him. When the Lord becomes the source of our happiness, He also shapes our hearts so that our longings align more closely with His will.
We often chase after many things in hopes of feeling satisfied and happy. There’s nothing wrong with having dreams or enjoying God’s blessings. However, if all of that becomes the primary source of our joy, our hearts will easily be disappointed when circumstances change. On the other hand, when we find joy in the Lord, we have the strength to remain hopeful, grateful, and walk with Him through every season of life.
So, Rehobot Youth, make God the source of your joy every day. When your heart is filled with His presence, you will find peace, strength, and happiness that no circumstance can easily take away.
What To Do?
1. Draw your heart close to God today.
2. Train your heart to be grateful.
3. Let God be the reason for your joy.
