Today’s devotional is titled:
Staying Right Even When Unpopular

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.”
— Jeremiah 17:7

Jeremiah lived in a nation increasingly distant from God. Many people preferred following their own desires rather than listening to the truth. When Jeremiah spoke God’s word, he received not praise, but rejection, insults, and even pressure. Yet, amidst all of this, Jeremiah chose to trust and rely on God.

Today’s world often makes people think that what is right isn’t necessarily accepted. Many people end up following the crowd just to be seen as cool, accepted by their circle, or not shunned by their peers. As a result, life values and faith are sacrificed for popularity and human recognition.

But Jeremiah shows that a life rooted in God will have a different perspective. Those who truly know the living God no longer depend on human validation. They realize that faithfulness to God is far more important than acceptance by the world. Choosing to live righteously may make us look different, but God is still with those who hope in Him.

Rehobot Youth, don’t be afraid to live righteously even if it’s unpopular. When our hope is in God, we will have the courage to remain faithful amidst the pressures of the world. Because a life rooted in God will remain strong, even if it’s not always popular.

What to Do?
• Evaluate: Are you more afraid of losing God or losing the acceptance of others?
• Learn to rely on God when facing pressure from those around you.
• Continue doing what’s right even if not everyone likes it.
