Today’s devotional is titled:
The True Value of Life
“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.” — Philippians 3:7
Paul used to be a highly respected man. He had status, knowledge, and a high standing in society. However, after encountering God, his perspective changed completely. Paul began to understand that the value of life is not determined by worldly status, but by a relationship with God.
The world often teaches that life is meaningful only if one is famous, successful, wealthy, or recognized by many people. Because of this, many young people compete to seek validation through social media, achievements, or the opinions of others. But none of that always brings true peace and fulfillment.
Paul learned that all worldly achievements are meaningless compared to knowing Christ. His encounter with God transformed his mindset. He no longer lived to prove himself to people, but to fulfill God’s purpose in his life. From this, we learn that knowing the living God will change the way we view the world and ourselves.
Rehobot Youth, don’t let the world determine the value of your life. You are valuable not because of your status, popularity, or achievements, but because God knows and loves you. When God transforms your perspective, you will learn to live with a greater and eternal purpose.
What to Do?
• Evaluate: Has the value of your life been too heavily determined by the world’s standards?
• Learn to see yourself from God’s perspective, not through human validation.
• Build a relationship with God so that your mindset continues to be transformed by Him.
