Today’s devotional is titled:
Faithful Together
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” — Daniel 3:17–18
Hi, Rehobot Youth! Have you ever found it hard to keep your faith when you’re alone? Sometimes the wrong environment can make us waver. But when you have friends who also know God, the atmosphere is different. God’s presence is often felt tangibly through healthy friendships that encourage and strengthen one another.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego lived under immense pressure. They were forced to worship the golden statue, but they stood united in saying “no.” They believed God was able to help them, and even if He didn’t, they chose to remain faithful. Their strength wasn’t just personal courage, but also a friendship that mutually upheld their faith and holiness.
You too can bring a positive influence to your friendships. When your motives are pure and your life is close to God, the friends around you can be inspired as well. Imagine if a group of friends dared to say “no” to things that lead them away from God—school environments, communities, and even social media could become healthier and brighter places.
Rehobot Youth, God calls us not only to grow individually, but also to strengthen one another in faith. You are made for more—called to be a positive influence and to bring your friends closer to God.
What to Do?
• Find friends who also want to live close to God.
• Have the courage to say “no” to things that take you away from God.
• Be a positive influence that fosters a healthier and more uplifting atmosphere among friends.
