Great Talents, a Holy Heart
“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” — Mark 8:36
Hi, Rehobot Youth! Having a talent is awesome. Some of you are great at music, sports, design, public speaking, or even creating creative content. But have you ever realized that talent alone isn’t enough to sustain a life? Many people look great on the outside, but are actually empty on the inside because their lives are far from God.
The world often teaches that what matters is being famous, successful, and praised by many people. As a result, many people focus on developing their skills but forget to keep their hearts and lives holy. In reality, talent without God can lead someone to pride, burnout, and even a loss of direction in life.
The Bible reminds us that true success isn’t just about ability, but about living a life close to God. Talent can open many doors, but only character and holiness keep a person standing firm. God is not just looking for talented people, but for those who are willing to live righteously and use their talents to glorify Him.
So, Rehobot Youth, don’t just be busy honing your talents, but also build a close relationship with God. Because when talent is combined with a holy heart, our lives are not only great in the eyes of people, but also pleasing in the sight of God.
What to Do?
• Don’t just train your skills; train your spiritual life as well.
• Use your talents to glorify God, not to seek human praise.
• Keep your heart and life holy so that God can continue to use your life.
