Today’s reflection is titled:
The Holy Gifts Entrusted by God
“ For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10
Everyone has something valuable from God. Some are gifted speakers, some are good listeners, some are creative, some love to help others, and some can even bring peace in the midst of conflict. These are not merely ordinary abilities, but sacred gifts—gifts that God has entrusted to us to be used for good. However, the reality today is that many people feel inferior because they compare themselves to others on social media. We often think that our talents are too small, uninteresting, or not as great as those of others. As a result, many gifts end up hidden, even though God never creates anything without a purpose.
In today’s world, gifts are often used merely to seek recognition. People compete to go viral, become famous, or receive praise. Yet God gives us abilities so that our lives may be a channel of blessing for others. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s handiwork. This means our lives are specifically designed by God, and no talent goes to waste. Even the simplest abilities can be used by God to do good works.
Imagine a student who is skilled at making videos or designing. In today’s digital age, those skills can be used to spread positivity, encourage others, or support ministry. When talent is used for the right purpose, that gift becomes something holy in God’s sight. God doesn’t look at how well-known our skills are, but whether they are used to glorify Him.
God isn’t looking for the most perfect person, but for someone willing to dedicate their life to a noble cause. Whatever gifts you have today, trust that God can use them for something great. Don’t be afraid to be different, because often the greatest gifts come from a heart willing to be used faithfully by God.
What to Do?
• Realize that God created you for a specific purpose.
• Stop underestimating the abilities you have.
• Use your talents to make a positive impact.
