Complaints Become Praise
Habakkuk 3:18
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
Rehobot Youth, let’s be honest—life sometimes feels unfair. We try, but fail. We do good, but are misunderstood. We feel like complaining all the time.
Habakkuk felt the same way. He asked many questions and complained to God because he saw injustice. But interestingly, he didn’t stop complaining. In the end, he chose to remain joyful.
Not because his problems disappeared. But because he believed God was still in control.
That’s where faith differs. It doesn’t mean we can’t complain—we can be honest with God. But don’t stop there. Turn your complaints into prayers, then slowly transform them into praise.
When you remain joyful in the midst of trouble, you are saying, “God, I believe You are greater than my situation.” And often, that’s where God is most clearly at work.
What To Do?
• Transform your complaints into honest prayers to God.
• Trust that God is still working in the midst of your struggles.
• Choose joy, even though your circumstances haven’t changed.
