Today’s devotional is titled:
When Anxious, Come to Him
Psalm 94:19
When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.
Rehobot Youth, anxiety is real. Thoughts can suddenly become full—about school, the future, relationships, or things that haven’t even happened yet. It feels like your head can’t “still.”
This psalm is very honest: thoughts can pile up and make your heart restless. But the good news is, God doesn’t walk away when we’re anxious. He actually comes to us with comfort.
We often think we have to be strong on our own, that we have to sort everything out before we come to God. But it’s precisely in times of chaos that we need Him most. God doesn’t wait for you to be tidy—He wants you to come to us as you are.
When we honestly say, “God, I’m scared… I’m tired… I’m confused,” that’s when His peace begins to come in. The problem may not disappear, but our hearts begin to calm down. A noisy mind gradually becomes more organized.
Going to God isn’t an escape—it’s a source of strength. Because He’s the only one who truly understands what’s in our hearts.
What To Do?
• Take a moment, take a breath, and share your heart with God.
• Write down one thing that worries you, then submit it in prayer.
• Hold on to a verse of Scripture when your mind starts to fill up.
