The Dead Sea
“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25
The Dead Sea is known as one of the most unique places in the world. Its water is extremely salty, making it nearly impossible for life to survive there. One simple reason explains this: the Dead Sea only receives water—it does not flow out. Everything comes in, but nothing goes out.
Unknowingly, our lives can resemble the Dead Sea. We receive so many blessings—God’s love, forgiveness, spiritual growth, and even a good community—but we stop at ourselves. When blessings are kept and not shared, our lives gradually lose their impact.
God calls us not only to be blessed, but to be a blessing. This means that what we receive from Him should flow to others through our attitudes, words, actions, and tangible love. When our lives become channels, God entrusts even more to us.
What To Do:
1. Reflect on the blessings God has already given in your life.
2. Ask yourself: have these blessings flowed to others?
3. Take one simple action today to be a blessing to someone else.
