More Than Just a Habit
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true worship.”
📖 Romans 12:1
Rehobot Youth, without realizing it, faith can turn into routine. Prayer becomes a habit. Worship becomes a schedule. Serving becomes an obligation. Everything is done, but the heart is no longer involved.
But God never longs for empty routines. He longs for a heartfelt response.
Romans 12:1 reminds us that our very lives are worship—not just the spiritual activities we do, but the posture of our hearts that we carry every day.
When we live with gratitude, everything we do changes meaning. We pray not because we have to, but because we realize we need God. We serve not to be recognized, but as an expression of thanks for His love.
Gratitude brings faith back to life when it starts to feel flat. From mere routine, it becomes a loving response to God, who loved us first.
What To Do:
1. Evaluate one of your spiritual habits: is it still a heartfelt response or just a routine?
2. Do one thing today with full awareness that it is worship to God.
3. Give thanks before doing your spiritual routines so that your heart is involved.
