Today’s devotional is titled:
Know Your Place, But Don’t Lose Your Confidence
“What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”
📖 1 Corinthians 4:7
Rehobot Youth, living with self-awareness doesn’t mean being insecure or feeling small. Knowing your place means understanding your position: who you are, who God is, and where everything you have comes from.
The problem is, we often forget. When we succeed, we feel like it’s purely because of our own effort. When we fail, we feel like God is unfair. But a life that pleases God begins with the realization that every ability, opportunity, and breath we have is grace.
When we know our place, we stop demanding from God and we stop boasting about ourselves. We become calmer, more humble, and more grateful. From that place, a life that pleases God is born—not because we are perfect, but because our hearts are aware of who we are before God.
God isn’t looking for young people who act like they’re amazing, but for those who are willing to live with the awareness that without Him, we can do nothing. And that’s exactly where God loves to work.
What To Do:
1. Admit before God one thing you’ve been proud of as if it were purely your own achievement.
2. Give thanks for the opportunities and abilities God has entrusted to you.
3. Train your heart to say: “God, all of this is from You and for You.”
