Today’s devotion is titled:
Giving with Wisdom

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:8

Have you ever heard this saying: “Give someone a fish, and you feed them for a day. Teach them to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime.”
That proverb beautifully reflects God’s principle of giving. We are called not only to give instantly but to give in ways that build others up. Not every act of generosity has to involve money—sometimes sharing knowledge, giving advice, or teaching a skill can be far more meaningful than a quick financial gift.

The Apostle Paul wrote that God not only provides what we need but also gives in abundance so that we can overflow in every good work. Goodness means doing acts of love that bring life to others. True goodness is not just “doing good things,” but actions that reflect God’s character and leave an eternal impact on people’s lives.

So, never think you’re too small to be a blessing. Even simple acts—like praying for someone, sharing a meal, or spending time to listen—can be powerful expressions of love that touch hearts and transform lives. Jesus said, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Matthew 5:7).

Believe this: when we give wisely and joyfully, God’s grace will overflow in our lives. Every blessing we receive is not meant to be stored, but to be shared. Because in God’s hands, every wise act of giving grows life and brings glory to His name.

What to Do:
1. Take time today to pray specifically for those in need, asking God to provide for their daily bread.
2. Write down one experience where you were blessed through someone else’s kindness. Let it inspire you to keep the chain of kindness going.
