Gentle Words Change Hearts

1 Samuel 25:32–33
“David said to Abigail, ‘Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you today to meet me. May you be blessed for your good judgment and for keeping me from bloodshed this day and from avenging myself with my own hands.’”

Truth Kids friends, have you ever felt so angry, and then someone spoke gently to you, and it calmed you down?
That’s exactly what Abigail did—a wise woman who chose the path of peace because she trusted in God.

Abigail wasn’t a soldier, a queen, or a powerful person. But she had a heart full of faith and a mouth filled with kindness. When David was angry and wanted revenge, Abigail came with gentle and wise words. She didn’t shout, she didn’t force, but she spoke calmly and trusted that God would help.

Because of her courage and wisdom, David changed his mind. He did not stay angry, and God was praised!

Abigail is an example that God’s children can be heroes of faith through gentle and loving attitudes. You can be like Abigail too!
Today, let’s learn from Abigail: if a friend is angry or the situation is noisy, try using gentle words and a calm attitude. God is pleased when His children bring peace.

Come on, let’s be heroes of faith who choose love instead of anger!
