Faithful in Difficult Times

Ruth 1:16
But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.”

Hi Truth Kids friends! Have you ever gone with your mom or dad to a new place you’ve never been before? Sometimes it feels exciting, but it can also make you nervous because you don’t know what will happen.

In the verse we read above, there is a story about a young woman named Ruth. At that time, her husband had died, and her mother-in-law, Naomi, wanted to return to her homeland. Naomi told Ruth to stay in her own village. But Ruth chose to go with Naomi and worship the true God, even though it meant going to a place she didn’t know.

Truth Kids friends, sometimes we also feel afraid when we have to move schools, join a new activity, or meet different friends. Sometimes we may want to give up, or even forget that God is always with us. Or we may prefer the easy way instead of staying faithful to follow God.

From Ruth, we learn to trust and remain faithful to God. Even when the path is unclear, we can be brave because God is always with us. So, when you face something new that makes you anxious—like moving to a new house, having a new teacher, or joining a competition—remember that the same God who guided Ruth also guides you. Come on, Truth Kids friends, let’s follow God wherever He leads with trusting and courageous hearts!
