Laughter Turned into Gratitude
Genesis 18:14
“Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
At school, the teacher asked, “Who wants to join the drawing competition next week?” All the children raised their hands—except Rina. Rina actually loved drawing, but she only had a small pencil that was almost worn out. She thought, “With this old pencil, how could I ever win?”
When she got home, Rina told her mom. Mom smiled and said,
“Rina, nothing is impossible for God. If you try and pray, God can even use your little pencil to do something great.”
At first, Rina chuckled, thinking it was impossible. But she decided to try. With her small pencil, she drew every day while praying.
Finally, the day of the competition came. The result was surprising! Even though her tools were simple, Rina’s drawing was chosen as the winner because it was unique and colorful, using creativity she poured into it.
Rina remembered the Sunday School story about Sarah, who was very old but still given a child by God. At first Sarah laughed because it seemed impossible, but God proved His power.
Rina smiled as she held her trophy. “It’s true,” she thought, “nothing is impossible for God.”
Have you ever experienced something like Rina, Truth Junior friends? If you are longing for something in your prayers, always believe that nothing is impossible for Jesus. The most important thing is to ask God if what you are praying for is according to His will.
