God Still Loves
Genesis 3:20
“The man named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.”
Truth Kids friends, have you ever felt very guilty, unworthy to come to God because you did something that displeased Him? Often, when we make mistakes or disobey, we feel very guilty, ashamed, sad, or maybe afraid that our actions made God angry. But, do you remember the story of Adam and Eve?
Eve was the first person deceived by the devil. She also gave the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil to Adam, and they both ate it, thus falling into sin. In the end, they were cast out from the Garden of Eden into the world. Even though it seemed that God was angry, at that moment God also sacrificed an animal and used its skin to make clothes for Adam and Eve.
So, it is true that God really hates sin. However, from that story we learn that God still loved Adam and Eve. The same goes for us—when we sin, the sins we commit make God sad, disappointed, and angry. We may even receive punishment for our actions, just like Adam and Eve did. But remember, God also sent the Lord Jesus, His only Son, to redeem our sins on the cross. That is the proof that God truly loves us, His children.
Therefore, if we do something that is not pleasing before God, let us quickly ask for forgiveness and repent. Do not repeat that mistake again.
