Today’s devotional is titled:
The Hands of God’s Love
Psalm 23:1
“A psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”
Hello, Truth Junior friends! This verse reminds us that God is the Shepherd who always takes care of us. Just as a shepherd protects his sheep so they are safe, fed, and not lost, God also takes care of us every day. He gives us family, friends, food, and protection.
Because God is so good in caring for us, now it’s our turn to learn how to care for others who are weak. To care means to guard, protect, and help those in need. Maybe at school there’s a classmate who often sits alone, or at home a younger sibling who needs company. When we greet, help, or protect them, we are being the hands of God’s love in this world.
Truth Junior friends, caring for others doesn’t always mean doing something big. Sometimes it’s simply listening to a friend’s story, sharing your lunch, or standing up for someone who is being bullied. All of these show God’s love in a real way.
Let’s remember: just as God faithfully cares for us, we are also called to faithfully care for others. That way, God’s love will keep flowing through our lives, making the world a warmer and more loving place.
