The Power of Praying

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.” – 1 Timothy 2:1

Since we were little, we were taught how to pray: fold our hands, bow our heads, and close our eyes. Maybe your prayer sounds like this:
“Lord, thank You for today. I was able to arrive at school safely. Lord, please bless my teachers, my classmates, and my parents so they will always be healthy. In Your name I pray, amen.”

Prayer is our way of talking with God. We can tell Him how we feel, share our hopes, give thanks, and also ask Him to take care of the people we love.

In today’s verse, we are reminded to pray not only for ourselves, but also for others. When we pray for others, it means we care. It shows that we love our friends, our family, and even people we don’t know. Prayer has great power because God listens and works through our prayers.

Today, the world often feels scary. We see news about theft, hunger, natural disasters, and sickness. As children of God, we have an important task: to pray for those who are suffering. We can also pray for leaders so they may be strong, wise, and always under God’s protection.

Truth Juniors, let’s start with something simple: grow a caring heart for others. God first loved us, so we must also love others as we love ourselves.

When we pray, we draw closer to God. We learn to have a heart that is sincere and loving, just like His. God is always near, holding us close, and He will never leave us.
