Today’s devotional is titled:
Obeying Parents

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’—which is the first commandment with a promise.” – Ephesians 6:1–2

Eagerly, Alex ate the chocolate he took from the fridge.
“Yum… yum… this is so good!” he said with a smile. 😊

Suddenly, Mom came and said,
“Alex, don’t eat too much chocolate. You’ll get a toothache!”

But Alex replied,
“Don’t stop me, Mom. I won’t get a toothache!”

But that night… Alex couldn’t sleep. 😢
His tooth hurt and his cheek was swollen!
Alex cried, “Mom… help… my tooth hurts!”

Mom treated his tooth and said,
“If you had obeyed earlier today, you wouldn’t be in pain.”

Alex felt sorry and said,
“I’m sorry, Mom. I promise I’ll obey you.” 💗

Truth Kids, you also need to obey your parents.
When we disobey, it makes God sad too.
Obeying parents is God’s command.

So, starting today, let’s learn from Jesus:
To obey, to love, and to honor our parents! 🙌
