Today’s Devotional is titled:
Free but Responsible

“We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?” – Romans 6:2

There’s a big difference between being “free” and just doing “whatever I want.” Freedom means we have the ability to choose, but not every choice is good. God gave us free will, but He also gave His Word as our guide.

A friend once said, “I’m spiritually mature. I know what really matters.” But it was in that so-called “maturity” that he often justified compromises. Eventually, his life felt empty and directionless.

It’s the same with us. God calls us to be free, but not free from truth. Rather, we’re free to live in truth. That’s not a burden. It’s a calling.

True freedom always comes with responsibility. And our greatest responsibility is to reflect Christ in every decision we make.

What to Do:
1. Evaluate: In your freedom, are you being responsible to God or only to yourself?
2. Ask for wisdom in prayer today, so every choice you make reflects a freedom that is responsible.
