Today’s Devotional is titled:
When You Don’t Feel Close, Do You Still Believe?
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7
Have you ever felt like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling? You read the Bible, but nothing clicks. You attend worship, yet your heart feels empty. We often assume that God’s presence is only real when we can “feel” Him. But healthy faith doesn’t rely on emotions.
Faith isn’t about mood. Faith is a decision of the heart to keep believing — even when nothing can be felt. Just like you believe the sun is behind the clouds, even when you can’t see its light.
Even Jesus experienced this in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was so overwhelmed that His sweat was like drops of blood. There was no feeling of victory — only obedience. And from that silent obedience came the salvation of the world.
God hasn’t distanced Himself just because you can’t feel Him. In fact, in that silence, He may be shaping a deeper conviction within you.
What to Do:
Set aside 10 minutes today — no music, no distractions, no script. Just sit and say:
“Lord, I still believe, even when I don’t feel.”
